The role of the Royal Australian Corps of Transport (RACT) is to control and operate surface transport, to provide movement, terminal and postal control, and manage aspects of air logistics support.
The Royal Australian Corps of Transport plays a pivotal role within the distribution network of the Australian Army delivering personnel, stores, equipment, and combat service support.
Members of the RACT are employed in most Army units in Australia and fill a diverse range of specialised roles, more than most other Army Corps.
