The Australian Defence Force will conduct minor helicopter operations around Garden Island, Sydney on the morning of 22 February and the afternoon of 23 February 2023.
These operations will involve landing a US Army AH-64E Apache on the deck of HMAS Canberra under escort of an Australian Army MRH90 Taipan for a short, static training activity before it departs for the Avalon International Airshow 2023 in Victoria.
Residents in the area may see these helicopters operating in close proximity to the wharf and hear aircraft noise during this period. Residents and members of the public should not be concerned if they see or hear these helicopters operating in the area.
