Army training activity

The Royal Military College, Duntroon will be conducting a military training exercise which may generate noise in Jervis Bay over the period 8th to 24th March 2023.

Up to 100 trainee Army Officers will be conducting their final exercise before graduating as Lieutenants in the Army.

Exercise Binh Ba will see the trainees conduct tasks similar to recent domestic and international operations involving interactions with civilians, emergency services and other government stakeholders.

No more than 30 trainees will be using a location at one time, the Army will not restrict access to any location.

Trainees will be carrying weapons and blank ammunition throughout the activity, only using these within pre-approved areas.

Training will occur daily in Beecroft Range, Currawong, Callala Bay and Callala Beach.

The Australian Army appreciates the support of the community as it prepares future officers to succeed in peace and war.
