Army training activity

Army is conducting live fire activities with 155mm artillery, tanks, light armoured vehicles and helicopters which may generate noise within the confines of the Townsville Field Training Area from 3th to 14th August 2023.

Activities may occur daily during all hours.   

This training is essential to maintain the world class capabilities the Australian Defence Force provides the Government in defence of the nation.

The ADF thanks the public for their patience and cooperation while this essential training is being conducted.
