Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel will conduct live firing training activities in the Holsworthy area, over the February to December period.
The training will be conducted during the day and night and may involve responses to simulated scenarios as well as demolitions and other explosive ammunitions.
Normal operating hours are:
Monday to Saturday from 07:00 am – 9:00pm
Sunday and Public Holidays from 09:00 am – 7:00pm
There may be times when firing is outside these timings but the public will be advised.
Noise disturbances will be minimised where possible and the ADF thanks the public for their patience and cooperation while this essential training is being conducted.
There may be weather events such as low cloud cover that may make the explosive component seem louder than normal.
Defence takes its responsibility to the public seriously, but acknowledges there are numerous challenges in conducting military activities that is in close proximity to residential suburbs. We are committed to minimise the inconvenience to the local community and although the noise is regrettable, this training ensures the ADF is able to maintain its world-class response capabilities.
